Backdale Quarry

One of the reasons for choosing this route was because I thought the quarrying had been stopped, but it appears it has been allowed to start up again.

The Edges

Thankfully the view beyond the quarry makes it easier to ignore.

Sir William Hill

Once I turn onto Taylor Lane the views continue to improve, here looking across Rough Side to Sir William Hill.

Taylor Lane was a delight to walk along.

Looking down to the area known as Black Harry Gate, where I forgot to go in search of the old gate.
